INFECTION CONTROL (IC):

In an operating health care facility, IC measures are of the utmost importance during construction. ETC has professionally trained and certified IC personnel that will work with your facility to implement the proper IC level based on the ICRA matrix, coordinate the boundaries of the IC barrier to facilitate ongoing hospital functions, complete the IC permits, construct and test the IC barrier, maintain the integrity of the IC barrier during construction, and properly clean, disinfect and deconstruct the barrier after receiving the proper clearances.

MATERIALS EXTRACTION FOR TESTING:

ETC has executed more than 10 materials testing programs at medical centers throughout the state, and has extracted numerous samples of concrete cores, reinforcing steel, masonry prisms and steel coupons.  It is absolutely critical that the samples are extracted exactly as described in the testing program so that the full values can be assessed for the different types of materials.  We also understand that the sample locations need to consider the impact to the patient care environment, so that disruptions can be mitigated and the best sample location can be determined. We can work with the consulting team on the front end or carry out the program that has already been developed and approved. ETC’s skilled tradesmen will perform all the work required for the extraction, from infection control to replacement of materials and finishes.

MOCK-UP SERVICES:

ETC can construct actual mock-ups of your proposed design in our San Diego facility to show you what the end product will look like. This is especially helpful to clients who may not be familiar with reading blueprints, allowing them to visualize how a design will appear after it is constructed. This can also help predict workflow and ergonomic issues that are likely to come up as the finishes are being installed. User groups can tour and actually perform mock procedures here. Insights, ideas, and suggestions gained in the mock-up can be incorporated into the actual design, mitigating costly field change orders.
