MOBILE EARTHQUAKE SIMULATORS:

ETC’s state-of-the-art fleet of “Quake Cottage” mobile earthquake simulators are used at health care facilities throughout California to provide a realistic earthquake experience to hospital staff, helping them understand the critical nature of personal preparedness and the necessity for the SB1953 seismic retrofitting projects underway at their hospitals. The Quake Cottages – created and designed by Michael Essrig and built by ETC’s affiliate, Safe-T-Proof – have been featured on hundreds of television and radio newscasts over the last 16 years including: ABC, CBS, NBC, KTTV, KTLA, KCOP, KRON, CNN, MSNBC, KIIS/FM with Rick Dees, the nationally-televised “Home and Family Show,” “Martin Short Show,” “Crook & Chase Show,” “The Today Show,” “Dateline NBC,” and KTLA News’ Earthquake Special. Quake Cottages have also been used extensively to provide education to the public and to staff at government agencies.
