About SAFE-T-PROOF™

A leader in safety design and innovation, SAFE-T-PROOF™ was founded by Michael Essrig in 1993 with the goal of protecting families from disaster-related injuries and fatalities. As a child growing up in California, Essrig experienced firsthand the terror of the 1971 Sylmar earthquake and barely escaped serious injury from an unsecured bookshelf. When Essrig grew up to have children of his own, he searched for a simple and convenient answer to his furniture and appliance-fastening needs. With nothing suitable on the market, Essrig decided to create his own solution. Today, SAFE-T-PROOF™ proudly holds the first International Code Council certification for an adhesive-based lab equipment anchoring system.
